Dear Entrepreneurs
We have just published our first marketing cartoon. This cartoon addresses the risk of overselling.
What is overselling?
There are, of course, different types of overselling. It happens when a business, for example, sells more of a physical product than it has available. Another example is where a marketer makes excessive claims regarding their products or services (i.e. where he/she promises the “moon and stars” to a client or customer).
The end result is that a customer expects a certain quality (or quantity of) product or service from the specific company that doesn’t really exist or the business cannot deliver.
For more information, you may look at this article on overselling too.
