Dear friends

Today I would like to discuss what you can expect by using our business plan software (Business Plan Pro), while writing/developing your legal page.

Ever thought of it to include a legal page? It is actually extremely important to include a legal page with your business plan! Your legal statement can help you protect your intellectual property!

Really, I mean, you had that once in a lifetime moment (you know exactly when you had that “moment of truth”), seeing in a few seconds a business opportunity, the potential… yes, you saw YOUR business on the horizon – unique in every sense of the word – you grabbed the laptop, wrote the business plan in a record time, presented it to bankers, investors, the outside world… just to discover that someone, somewhere, had stolen your idea. All of a sudden you don’t have that competitive edge any more. The “element of surprise” is gone.

As simple as that.

Now, with Business Plan Pro, you will find sample text to get things started and to assist you in your thoughts. However, please keep in mind that your business is unique and we also suggest you contact a lawyer if you have concerns about your legal position when distributing your business plan.

The sample text in Business Plan Pro does not take the place of good legal advice!

What is the main purpose of a legal page/statement? Primarily, you want ALL the readers of your business plan to acknowledge that the information provided by you in the plan is confidential.

You need to make sure that all the readers agree NOT to disclose it without YOUR express written permission.

Of course, public domain information is NOT covered by this legal statement.

Furthermore, you should include a sentence, stating that upon request, your business plan document is to be immediately returned to you or one of your partners.

Warm regards
